Boys Swim & Dive

Coach Phillips enters his 31st year as Head Coach of the Boys and Girls Swim & Dive Team at Bishop Hartley High School, bringing with him more than three decades of coaching experience across all competitive levels. In addition to his leadership at Bishop Hartley, Coach Phillips also serves as a coach for summer recreation and club age-group swimming, as well as for Water Polo.

During his distinguished tenure, Coach Phillips has guided his teams to numerous Sectional and District Championships. Under his direction, the Girls team achieved the program’s only State Final appearance in school history, earning the State Runner-Up title in 2011. He has also coached multiple individual state champions and a state champion relay team, reflecting his commitment to excellence and athlete development.

Before beginning his coaching career, Coach Phillips was an accomplished swimmer himself. He earned multiple conference titles, a state championship with a local master's team, and held a conference record that stood for more than 20 years.
