Bishop Hartley offers a hands-on curriculum based on engineering and computer programming. Students interested in engineering and computer sciences will be able to supplement their high level sciences with new electives. Technology available to students includes college / industry quality software programs, electronics, and test equipment.
The engineering curriculum is designed to coincide with our high-level physical science classes including physics and chemistry. College credit is available through routes such as Advancement Placement (AP) and Dual Enrollment. The curriculum is hands-on theory supplemented with actual
3D printing, robotics, circuits, and microprocessor programming.

Mr. Bart Krieger, P.E.
Bart Krieger, Department Chair and Instructor, brings more than two decades of private industry experience to Bishop Hartley's engineering program. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from University of Maryland, his Master's of Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in two states.
