Bishop Hartley High School is thrilled to announce the hiring of Andreas James as Boys Head Basketball Coach. A member of the eastside community, Mr. James brings with him an abundance of coaching experience at the grade-, middle-, high-school and college levels.

Mr. James shared his excitement about the new position and the impact he looks to have: “I’m looking forward to leading and serving the Bishop Hartley students and athletes in this coaching role. I’m grateful to the Hartley administration for seeing the value I bring and I’m excited for the opportunity!”

Coming from Grace Christian School, Mr. James is already familiar with the Hartley Hawks’ basketball program, having trained the girls’ team and assisted the boys’ team in recent seasons.

Bishop Hartley Principal, Christopher Kowalski, offered the following, “Coach James embodies the 6 pillars of our Foundation at Hartley. First and foremost, he’s a man of Faith. His commitment to mentoring and guiding our student athletes was evident from our first interaction. We are very excited about bringing Mr. James on in this coaching role for our community.”

Athletic Director, Mike Rahe, echoed the sentiments regarding welcoming Mr. James. “Coach James models his faith and effortlessly inspires others in his personal and professional life. He’s authentic, has a history of building strong communities, and brings a passion for the game.”
