Patrick Gilliland Signs Letter of Intent

Offensive Tackle Patrick Gilliland signed his National Letter of Intent (NLI) with Ohio University at 7 AM this morning. Patrick was a multiple year starter on the offensive and defensive line earning all metro and all district honors. Patrick was an integral part of two state championship teams (2015, 16), two Central Catholic League championship teams (2014, 17), Three regional championship teams (2014, 15, 16), a regional finalist (2017) and four consecutive playoff teams (2014-17).

Patrick is the son of Vince and Mary Gilliland of Gahanna, Ohio and attended St. Matthew Grade School.

Patrick becomes the 2nd Hawk to join the Bobcats, along with Keith Key ’15. Ohio University is coached by legendary head coach Frank Solich. The Bobcats were 8-4 this past season and earned a berth in the Bahamas Bowl to be played on December 22 against University of Alabama Birmingham.

Bishop Hartley will hold a special Signing Day Celebration for all Hawks committing to play college football on Wednesday, February 7 at 3:00 PM in the cafeteria.
