School Forms Due Sept. 3

Have you completed all of your school forms for the 2014-15 school year?  The deadline for school forms, both academic and athletic, is fast approaching.  Parents and guardians are asked to complete all forms as soon as possible.  All the forms can be found on Bishop Hartley's Final Forms page.  If you haven't utilized Hartley's new system, it's easy to get started.  The  system can be accessed from any device (smart phone, iPad, tablet, desktop computer, laptop, etc.) with Internet access.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

1. Go to https://hartley.finalforms.com/
2. Click REGISTER under the Parent Icon and follow the directions.

Not sure if you have completed all of the forms?  The on-line system also keeps track of the paperwork for you and you can quickly see the status of each form with the convenient color-coded system.  The administration will begin contacting students and families who have not completed the forms very soon.  Please do not delay the completion and submission of these important documents.

Evening with the Hawks: Athletic Hall of Fame Induction

BHHS Athletic Department is pleased to announce the first annual Evening with the Hawks.  This signature event marks the induction of the inaugural class of the BHHS Athletic Hall of Fame. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at the school.  Tickets are $25 per person and attire is business casual.  The event includes dinner, a silent auction and Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony to honor the “Valiant, Brave, and True.”

All members and friends of the Hartley family are invited to come celebrate the past, present, and future of Bishop Hartley Athletics. For more information and the registration form, click pdfHERE.  To save your spot, please print the form and return it to school to the attention of Pat Murphy, athletic director.  Registrations forms can also be returned electronically by scanning the completed form and returning it via e-mail to Pat Murphy at This email address is being protected from spambots. PREPARATION FOR iPAD USE

All Bishop Hartley students (grades 9-12) will be assigned individual iPads to use during the school year 24/7. Use of these mobile devices for organization, learning, research, and communication will prepare our students for real world experiences in both college and career. Students will have access to selected online sites, textbooks, notebooks, homework assignments and their grades (through BrainHoney, our student learning system). It is our intention to provide a tool for the student’s academic use, not a home computer. Students will receive iPad use training during the first full week of school in core classes. After school workshops will also be held throughout the year. Please visit Final Forms to read and sign the 2014-21015 iPad Usage Contract. (Please insert link) All students and their parents/guardians must sign this agreement before AUGUST 25TH. No exceptions can be made as it is important that the school, students, and family have formally agreed to the terms of use of this device.

It is also important that students and parents look at and read the documents on the Technology Page of the Bishop Hartley Website.

House Parent Organization Seeks Volunteers

Parent involvement in the House Parent Organization (HPO) is an important component of the House System at Hartley.  Just like every student is a member of a House, every parent is a member of the House Parent Organization.  The HPO is looking for parents and guardians who are interested in serving as House Mentor Parents and/or assisting with any of the exciting and fun events supported by the HPO.

With the help of Sign-Up Genius, getting involved is easier than ever. Click HERE to go to the list of volunteer opportunities at the various events and activities scheduled for this year.  Click HERE to sign-up to assist the HPO Leadership Committee by being a House Mentor Group Parent.

The meetings will begin at 8:30 a.m. and be held at Bishop Hartley.
