What's New at Hartley
You entrust the shaping of your children’s future to us, and we hold that trust sacred. We are committed to doing all that we can to ensure students reach their greatest potential. The academic program we offer is one of not only excellence, but also one rooted in the Six Pillars which serve as the foundation of all we do at Hartley.
We prepare our students for their futures by teaching them to be critical thinkers, problem solvers and technologically literate individuals. Bishop Hartley is accredited by the State of Ohio and the Diocese of Columbus. But, we don’t stop there. Our academic program goes beyond state requirements and guidelines. We take a forward-thinking, comprehensive approach to education.
We are serious about our mission which encompasses our approach to education. “Transforming lives through rigorous academic preparation.” To that end, we offer multiple courses of study and are committed to helping each student reach his or her fullest potential and compete in the ever-changing, fast-paced world as global citizens.
Our robust curriculum and course offerings benefit students who desire additional academic challenges and opportunities for growth. We offer both Advance Placement (AP) and Dual Enrollment courses in partnership with Ohio Dominican University. We also offer a unique Post Secondary Educational Options (PSEOP) with The Ohio State University, Franklin University and Columbus State Community College. Our honors program provides an enriched and accelerated curriculum in key subject areas. In addition to honors, AP, and college-level courses, two academic extracurricular clubs provide additional opportunities for academic challenge and growth.
Our commitment to supporting every student in reaching his or her fullest potential is evidenced by our low 15:1 student: faculty ratio which allows for individual attention, interaction, and support as well as our Notre Dame Program which coordinates services for students who need accommodations.
We have an impressive record for college preparation. Each year, 98 percent of our students go on to post-secondary education. The Class of 2014 continued to build upon our legacy of academic excellence. The 154 graduates of that class earned a combined total of $12.8 million in college scholarships from an impressive list of colleges and universities across the country and abroad.
